Kids’ Klub (ages 5-12)
Thursdays 3:00-4:30pm October to May.

During most of the regular school year kids in grades K-7 are welcome to come (with parents’ permission) to the church for an after school kids’ Bible club. We play games, make a craft, and hear a Bible story, with just enough time to enjoy a small snack!

Permission slip signed by a parent/guardian is required for attendance. The Jesus bus picks-up from Barriere Elementary and drives kids home after too.

School and drop-off at home is available. For this the bottom portion of the permission slip must be signed by a parent and left with the office at Barriere Elementary School.

Parents’ information letter which includes attendance permission slip and bus permission slip can be downloaded as a pdf by clicking here

Care Ministry

Those of us gifted by God to help others and those of us needing help are encouraged to unite here in obedience to God’s instructions to us, to build each other up in God’s love.

To participate as a giver or a receiver or to identify someone you know who needs help, you are invited to contact the church office, who will try to arrange the necessary help. It can be for someone outside the attending church body. It often is for those in our community who are elderly, disabled, or otherwise destitute. It may be simply to visit someone.

Contact: Brad Thiele (250 672 5850), Church office (250 672 0111), or email pclabarriere@telus.net

Life Groups

While it is good to meet as a whole group, we believe it is beneficial to spend time together in smaller groups. Our Life Groups are a great place to get connected with a smaller group and to learn more about what it means to follow Christ together. Feel free to contact the church office, one of the numbers below, or anyone in the church to find a group to join or visit.

Sunday at 9:30 is Adult Sunday School

This group meets before Sunday morning services.

World Missions:

While we are situated in and minister to Barriere and its surrounding areas we know that God’s work is much bigger than what we see here. We believe in supporting missions to take God’s love to other and distant places in the world. Here are the missionaries that we as a local church support:

The Mercers are involved in Christian education in Maputo, Mozambique.

Gerald and Pat Golbeck are involved in missions training in Pretoria, South Africa.

Maralee Dawn is our missionary to Canada. She has been involved in Christian children’s and women’s television.
